Hello, I am Noah
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn’t in the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The opening months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We discovered places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built AncientFieldWay
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance rooted in real life in Canada.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical knowledge from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated only when something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Canada continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, please feel free to get in touch.
Cheers,
Noah
